November: The Dark of the Year

Welcome Friend,

Here in Kentucky, we’ve tipped into the Dark of the Year. Our days are short, our nights are increasingly colder, and I for one could not be happier. I love this time of year. I love snuggling up with a cup of hot tea or cacao, a sweet treat, my husband and our dogs, and hibernating. The crisp cool breeze in the morning, wakes me and energizes my spirit.

I know not everyone feels this way. This time of year often brings up a lot of resistance for people. The following is an exert from this month’s Priestess Unleashed work, centered around resistance.

“Let me begin by asking a question... How are you? Like really...how are you? We are in the depths, surface responses that keep you safe and hidden are no longer acceptable for the Priestess you're becoming... So I ask again, how are you?

Where are you feeling resistant? Resistant in your day to day life? Resistant in your physical body? Resistant in your mental body? Resistant in your spirit? Resistant to your unfolding? Resistant to your becoming? Where are you feeling it...

Are you willing to  shift into flowing rhythm with your Priestess self? Are you willing to put in the work to move through the resistance? Are you willing to allow it all to be peeled away? To be raw and reborn? To do what scares you most? To really honestly compost the stories in your head and heart that keep you small and keep love at a distance? Will you give yourself permission to...

Take some time this weekend to reflect on these questions. Pull out your journal and write what scares you most, what you're resistant to, and make a commitment to leave it behind so you may rise.”

I hope these questions serve you well. That you’re able to find the light within during the dark of the year. That you’re willing to let go of the stories of resistance that you carry and flow through the next few months with ease.

With deep love and gratitude,

Ash
